Cliff Carvings in Zhuhai

Situated in Mirror Bay, Gaolan, west of Zhuhai, the cliff carvings are relics of the Bronze Age. Discovered in October 1989 by archeologists of the Zhuhai Museum, the carvings show many things such as boats, humans, snakes, birds, deer and many drawings of different patterns, some of which appear to resemble those on bronze ware and the ancient pottery, and some of which are hard to tell yet. There are many people, men and women, some of whom are standing or lying down, or running, or dancing. The images are vivid and mysterious. You seem to see reflections of the primitive humans 'customs, daily activities, and art as well. The Mirror Bay Petro glyphs Series are of extreme value, and were announced as the Zhuhai Cultural Relics Site for Protection in 1989.
