Beijing Road in Guangzhou

In Guangzhou, Beijing Road is a traditional shopping area where you can purchase shoes, clothing, cameras, souvenirs , and food etc. As per the ruins from the excavations, Beijing Road has a long history over 2000 years. On the floor, there are different pavement ruin for different dynasties which are proof of the area to be always the shopping center.
Today it is a pedestrian street where you can wander around. Moreover there are historical sites including Nanyue Kingdom Palace, Dafo Temple nearby. You can also walk to the Pearl River from Beijing Road, where the curses are available to catch.
It is recommended to go shopping in the evening here when all lights are on if you come here for sightseeing, the area is not busy until mid-night.
