Xiamen University

In 1921, this university was donated by the patriotic Chen Jiageng. At that time, it consisted of five departments. Today, it includes 10 departments with30 different disciplines of study. A memorial to the famous writer Lu Xun is located within the university. He taught here from September 4, 1926 to January 16, 1927.
