Sun Island

Off the northern bank of the Songhua River, the Sun Island 太阳岛 is opposite to the city. It is a famous scenic spot. The total area is 1960 hectares. Sanatoriums have been built in the southern part, the northern half is occupied by the Sun Island Park. The river banks are good natural bathing grounds.
