Laolongtou in Qinghuangdao

The Great Wall protrudes into the sea four kilometers south to Shanhai Pass in Qinghuangdao. The place is called Laolongtou (Old Dragon's Head). The Great Wall ends at a stone castle built by Qi Jiguang in 1579. It was 10 meters high and 23 meters long. Today, only the huge granite base is left, standing in the water.
