Jingshan Park

Jingshan Park is situated on the north of the Forbidden City in Beijing. When The Forbidden City was constructed, the moat around it was dug then moved the moat soil to accumulate a hill, which was named after Jingshan that means the Landscape Hill in Chinese due to the nice bird view on the top.
When you finish your tour in the Forbidden City, and leave from the Shengwu Gate, you can go across the road to visit the Jingshan Park. On the top of the hill, there is a pavilion where you can view the entire Forbidden City.
Beihai Park is situated on the west of the Jingshan Park, travelers can walk to there after Jingshan Park, then to the old hutongs, which is a very nice walking tour to learn Beijing.
Entrance fee is CNY5.
