Solitary Hill Island (Gu Shan) in Hangzhou

Gushan or 孤山 in Chinese, or Solitary Hill Island in Chinese, is a well-known place on the West Lake in Hangzhou. It is a lovely shady place to relax on the picturesque West Lake. You can access is via the causeway. Zhongshan Park 中山公园 on the island is sprinkled with pagodas, pavilions and gardens. Zhejiang Provincial Museum 浙江博物馆 is also on the island. Entry for the museum is free of charge, and it opens from 9am to 5pm from Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Monday.
