Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties

In 2000, 2003 and 2004, Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties were inscribed on the list of world heritage by UNESCO.
As a wonderful representative of Chinese burial architecture, Dong Tombs and Xi Tombs in Qing Dynasties were inscribed on the world heritage in 2000. Then the Xiao Tombs and Ming Tombs were also inscribed in 2003
In 2004, The Three Imperial Tombs of the Qing Dynasty in Liaoning Province include the Yongling Tomb, the Fuling Tomb, and the Zhaoling Tomb, all built in the 17th century. Constructed for the founding emperors of the Qing Dynasty and their ancestors, the tombs follow the precepts of traditional Chinese geomancy and fengshui theory.
The Ming and Qing imperial tombs are natural sites modified by human influence, carefully chosen according to the principles of geomancy (Fengshui) to house numerous buildings of traditional architectural design and decoration. They illustrate the continuity over five centuries of a world view and concept of power specific to feudal China.
It is very impressive to see those tombs for the emperors and his family while travel to China.
