Tianshui

Located in the east of Gansu Province, Tianshui is the second biggest city in Gansu after Lanzhou, with a population of 3.3 million (in 2016). Tianshui is well-known since ancient time in China as it links Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan provinces with the green Qinling Mountain that divides China into South and North part with Yangtze River.
As per Chinese legendary, Fuxi, the ancestor of Chinese, was born in Tianshui, there is a famous Fuxi Temple in Tianshui for Chinese to warship ancestor. Moreover, the Maiji Grottoes is a must-see site in Tianshui for its spectacular sculptures, which is one of the four well-known grottoes in China, the rest three are Yungang Grottoes in Datong, Longmeng Grottoes in Luoyang , Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang.
The travellers can taste local snacks such as Mianpi, Guagua, Niangpi etc.
