Fenghuang凤凰县


Fenghuang is located in the south of Hunan province with majority Miao ethnic group living there. There are about 42,000 population living on the wooden 2 or 3-sotoeys buildings along the beautiful Tuo River.
The small town preserves the traditional Miao people’s life and nice houses located by Tuo River, which become very popular after a novel that described stories happened here by Shencongwen who is a very well-known scholar.
The travelers can take a boat on the river, hike in the mountain, or sip a cup of win in the pubs, etc.
Not far from Fenghuang, there is a section of Great Wall built about 500 years ago in Ming Dynasty. You can view the similarity of the Wall with the one in northern China.
