72-hour Visa-free China cities

The travelers to China from 51 countries have been benefiting from 72-hour visa-free stays in Beijing and Shanghai, etc.
Tourists holding third country visas and plane tickets are allowed to apply for a transit without visa for 18 cities in China now, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Harbin, Shenyang, Dalian, Xian, Guilin, Kunming, Wuhan, Xiamen, Tianjin, Nanjing, Qingdao, Changsha and Hangzhou. Foreign visitors are not permitted to leave the cities to travel to other China cities during the 72 hours, and have to depart from the cities as well. It make the tour much easier for your overlap time when you travel to China.

Here is the requirement for the 72-hour Visa-free regulation in Guangzhou. The regulation for the rest of other cities are similar to this one.
Ⅰ. Applicable Conditions
1. Citizens of the 51 Countries Below:
37 European countries:
Austria, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, Britain, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania.
6 American countries: United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile.
2 Oceania countries: Australia, New Zealand.
6 Asian countries: South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar.
2. You should hold valid international travel documents.
3. You should hold valid visa of the third country (region).
4. You should hold a connecting air ticket to the third country (region) which will depart from the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport within 72 hours.
5. You can only travel within Guangdong Province during the visa-free transit period.

II. Application Procedures
1. You should complete the “Embarkation/Disembarkation Card”, together with valid international travel documents, valid visa of the third country (region), valid connecting air ticket for a flight that will depart within 72 hours, and go to No.19 or No.20 inspection counter to apply for 72-hour Visa-free Transit at the China Immigration Inspection.
2. After the Immigration inspection, please go to the baggage claim area at the arrival hall to claim your baggage.

III. Departure from Guangzhou
You are recommended to arrive at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at least two hours before the departure time of your flight.
