Guangzhou is a bustling city with an old area preserving traditional Cantonese culture, this 3.5-hour walking tour will let you explore the old Xiguan area on foot to indulge into local life with our local guide, and learn the background and history from your local guide. You will view the Lychee Bay, Xiguan old house, Liwanhu Park, Yong Qing Fang, and Shangxiajiu Shopping Road where the trip concludes. If you are interested in Shamian Island, you can visit it instead of the shopping street. Meet outside, Exit A, Zhongshanba Station on Metro Line 5. Centrally located Guangzhou hotel pickup is an optional choice. There are two departures 9am and 2 pm in a day.
At 9am or 2pm, meet your guide outside Exit A, Zhongshanba Station, Metro Line 5 with signage writing your name. Then you will start your walking tour with your guide to Renwen Temple which is a typical Taoism temple.
Afterwards you visit Liwanhu Park where local people dance, sing and play games. Lychee Bay is a place for the well-preserved old Xiguan houses that used to be the home for rich people. Walking along the Duobao Road and En'ning Road, you will be amazed by the local life, the busy market, the old shops, and the snack street etc.that are a mirror to reflect the traditional Cantonese lifestyle.
You will also visit the popular Yong Qing Fang, and Canton Opera Museum with your guide.
The walking tour will be finished at the Shangxiajiiu Pedestrian Street, it is time for shopping!
