Mount Wuyi
In 1999, Mount Wuyi was inscribed on the list of world heritage by UNESCO.
Located in the south of Wuyishan city, Fujian Province, Mount Wuyi covers an area of 60 square kilometers. As a typical Danbxia landform, most of the hills here are made of red sandstone with stunning mountain view. The steep but flat on top is a wonderful place to view the sun rising and sun set. Moreover, Mount Wuyi is a seat for three religions including Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism. There are temples and old building on the mountain to explore. The site of the Wuyi Palace built in the seventh century for emperors to conduct sacrificial activities remains today. It had been an important center of China's Taoism and was listed as one of the top nine Taoist Temples in the 10th century.
The ruin of Han City was also part of the heritage with the best preserved ancient city for Han dynasty in Southern China. There are potteries, tiles, bronze vessels etc. that were excavated here so that the travelers can imagine the high standard of the city from the exhibition.
