2-Day Trip From Chengdu to Leshan and Mt Emei
The
2-day trip offers you the opportunity to explore both Leshan Giant
Buddha and Mt. Emei that are the renowned sites in Sichuan Province.
The unusual experience is to spend one night in the monk dormitory at
the Baoguo Monastery.
Itinerary
Day 1. Chengdu/Leshan/Emei
At
7:30 am, your guide will meet you in the hold lobby to take you to the
Chengdu East Railway Station to catch one-hour fast train to Leshan. The
Leshan Giant Buddha Stature was built in the 8th century during Tang
Dynasty, located in the east of the mountain and the joint of Minjiang
River, Dadu River and Qingyi River. The 78-meter statue is the biggest
sitting Buddha in the world. You will stay here for 2 hours before you
are transferred another 1 hour to Emei. Today you will stay in the
Baoguo Monastery, this is dormitory for the buddhism believers who stay
here to pray. It is basic, no private toilet no washing room, but it is
once-in-a-life experience to stay overnight in the living monastery! You
will love it.

Day 2. Emei/Chengdu(B)
Today
you will be transferred to Mt. Eei, your guide will offer you the map
of Mt. Emei and the hiking routes, you can choose the better one for
you. While you are hiking in Emei, you can view the monkeys around you.
In the later afternoon, you will be transferred to Emeishan Railway
Station to catch fast train back to Chengdu Railway Station, then
transferred back to your hotel. Trip concludes.
