At 8:30am, we will pick you up from your centrally located Guangzhou hotel, and head to the museum. Southern Han Mausoleums Museum opened in 2019 in the south of Guangzhou with an area of nearly 86,000 sqm. It exhibits the relics from two mausoleums of two kings in Southern Han Dynasty(917-974AD), and the collections from Guangzhou area in the history. There are two main halls to display the history about Guangzhou and Southern Han.
Moreover, you will visit the site of Kang Mausoleum for the first king of the Southern Han Liuyan(889-942AD). The layout of the mausoleum is quite well designed to be excavated. Moreover, a big tablet unearthed from Kang Mausoleum proved that the host of the tomb was the Liuyan, the first king of Southern Han.
Nanhai God Temple is situated on the northern bank of Pearl River, east of Guangzhou, which was built about 1400 years ago m the Sui Dynasty(594AD). It was the temple for the royals to offer sacrifices to Sea God in the history. There are two ancient wharfs in Ming and Qing Dynasty, which were excavated recently near the temple to prove the history of maritime Silk Road in Guangzhou.
Then you will visit Guangzhou Maritime Museum, which stands like a huge ship in the Huangpu District in Guangzhou, displaying the maritime history and collections. There are rich exhibitions about the history and culture for the Maritime Silk Road in Guangzhou.
Later, you will be transferred back to Guangzhou where the day tour concludes.
