Itinerary
At 7am, you will be picked up from your centrally located Guangzhou hotel, head to Guangzhou Station to catch 2.5 or 3-hour bullet to Meizhou, a Hakka city.
Arrive in Meizhou, you will be transferred to Meizhou Hakka Museum, where you will learn about Hakka history, migration, and traditions(close on Mondays).
Enjoy your hakka lunch, you can taste Salt-Baked Chicken, Meizhou Braised Pork with Preserved Vegetables, or Stuffed Tofu etc.
Then you will move to Nanhua Village, which features well-preserved Hakka tulou (roundhouses), ancestral halls, and terraced fields. Walk through ancient courtyards, you can learn about Hakka clan culture, and enjoy rural scenery.
Time permits, you can visit Songkou Ancient Town, a historic riverside town with old Hakka architecture and a nostalgic atmosphere.
Later, you will catch bullet train back to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Guangzhou hotel where the day tour concludes.
